MEMORABLE MOMENTS IN RESCUE

While we are no longer directly involved in rescue, here's a few of our more memorable rescues from over the last 20 years:

2011 - Theodore is a 3 year old red fawn brushcoat male we fostered from Durham, North Carolina. He lost one eye from severe entropion, had heartworms, and a history of seizure activity, and still lives here with us.

2011 - Brianna was a 5 year old black brushcoat female from Greenville, South Carolina. She needed entropion surgery and now lives locally with a family that has a young child and cat.

2011 - Alfie aka Chance was a young mixed pup from Alabama that was brought up here for an adoption. He lives locally with a wonderful rescue family and his sister Jackie.

2010 - Beatrice came to us in October just in time to have 6 mixed pups. She was a stray from western Virginia that was captured running with a pack of multiple dogs, which the daddy could have been one or many. Bea now lives up in Pennsylvania with a wonderful mother who takes her for long daily walks.

2010 - Milo aka Franklin, first of Bea's pups, now lives in New Jersey with his new family. He likes to go for rides on the family boat.

2010 - Milla moved up to Pennsylvania and is a great family dog and loves visits from the grandkids.

2010 - Polly aka Carly, lives locally with two young children and their family.

2010 - Tucker aka Butler lives in Connecticut with his parents and sister Sydney.

2010 - Priestley, aka Tucker-Priestly, lives locally with a wonderful momma and extended family.

2010 - Trixie Mai, the last of Bea's pups, still lives with us and her buddy, Theodore.

2010 - Candyland, 5 year old fawn brushcoat female, was surrendered by a VA breeder due to histiocytomas and entropion. She had multiple treatments before cleared for adoption, and eventually found a wonderful home in northern Virginia.

2010 - Summer, 3-4 year old horsecoat sable female from Rocky Mount, North Carolina, had an emergency surgery to remove an infected uterus and treated for heartworms, before moving to her permanent home in North Carolina.

2010 - Sophia, 2 year old red fawn horsecoat, spooky little girl from eastern shore of Maryland, found the most wonderful local family with the patience necessary to give her the time needed to adjust to their family.

2010 - Ronnie, 3 year old red horsecoat, emaciated with likely B12 deficiency, entropion, and heartworms, was rescued from Lincolnton, North Carolina with his mother Lea. After several months of health care and treatments, he finally found his forever home with a local family who love him dearly.
